North Texas weather, despite a few cold days in 2020, doesn’t feel like it is really, truly winter. We’ve swung from mild, 70 degree days to tornadoes to flash floods to chilly afternoons that send us all scurrying into our fuzzy pajamas and comforters.
But that doesn’t mean we aren’t in the middle of flu season. Even without the scary mention of Coronavirus, experts were already saying this was going to be a tough flu season.
Of course, we all know there are some simple steps we can take to prevent the spread of germs, namely:
- Wash your hands
- Cough into your shirt or the crook of your elbow
- Take those vitamins
- Stay hydrated
- Get plenty of sleep
Hairstylists see so many people in any one day, that catching a cold or the flue is pretty easy if we aren’t on guard. I take steps to keep my immune system in fighting form because no one wants their hair cut and styled by a sneezing, coughing sinus monster.
While I value your time and appointment, I want to assure you that I will cancel if I am sick. Additionally, I will alert you if I am feeling under the weather so you have the option of canceling as well.
Please, please now that you can cancel too if you are sick. Use the following guideline: Pretend you are a sick kid. Would the school ask you to stay home? Do you have a fever?
These are signs you may want to cancel your hair appointment. As soon as you know you are contagious, please call to cancel.
It’s flu season, so we are all in this together. Let’s all stay healthy.
